My name is Jake and I’m a digital illustrator specializing in interiors.
I use 3d modeling, painting, and photo-bashing to visualize sets and environments for film and television productions. This allows designers, directors, and producers to see an accurate rendering of how a location or set could look before it is built, dressed, decorated, or manipulated. My images have also been used as a guideline for construction and decorating teams, as well as for interior designers.
I began 3D modeling at Columbia College of Chicago, where I received my bachelor’s degree in production design for film and television. After working in the art department in various positions on nearly fifty short films throughout college, and working in los angeles for two years as an art department assistant, I realized production design was the right direction, but not quite where I belong.
I am an Illustrator. I've been drawing my whole life, and finally my hobby has become my passion. As a native midwesterner, I’ve had a deep appreciation for natural landscapes. This has inspired my interest in environment design. I’ve been freelancing digital illustration in Los Angeles for six years, and I’m excited to keep learning and growing as an artist, and to continue admiring the natural world.
I’m always accepting new work, so feel free to reach out and ask about your show or project.
Thanks for your time!
